There’s nothing like a having a beloved Buffalo Bills great stand with the city against a famous rock star. Former wide receiver Reed was quoted in a recent New York Magazine article, aptly titled, “Jon Bon Jovi Is the Most Hated Man in Buffalo.”
The lengthy piece, which captures the sentiment of loyal and angry Bills fans, includes a raw and reflexive comment from Reed, who was in town to celebrate his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
One thing’s clear – Reed speaks Buffalo’s language.
“Man, [expletive] Bon Jovi!” he said. “You might as well take this city, throw it in the river, and let it go down Niagara Falls.”
Now we can’t reprint Reed’s foul, four-letter expletive, but it fits the frustrated and furious feelings of fans fuming in this fine feature.
