Need a winter pick-me-up?

Think spring.

The Master Gardeners from the Erie County Cooperative Extension will hold a six-week gardening course starting Wednesday at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Road.

The classes – which are for both beginning and seasoned gardeners – will include topics on soil, perennials, annuals and seed starting, compost, vegetable gardening and turf.

Classes will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through March 5.

Cost is $50 for Amherst residents and $75 for non-residents.
