Williamsville residents notified by the village are reminded to make appointments for free water-meter replacement work, if they have not already done so.
The work on the village water system is needed, as part of the consolidation with the Erie County Water Authority.
Most Williamsville homes have had the water meters replaced, but the small number that have not will have water service shut off on Monday, according to village officials.
This follows an extensive notification process that began in October and included four notices to residents who need to have their water meters replaced, officials added.
Anyone who has their water shut off should call Yarussi Construction at 283-7055 to schedule a free appointment.
Meanwhile, Amherst residents are being reminded that local law prohibits parking on any town or county road between the hours of 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. from November through April.
Violators are subject to a parking ticket. Repeated violations will result in a vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense.
