The University at Buffalo’s Center for Assistive Technology has been given a second $4.7 million federal grant to help bring new inventions for the disabled to the market during the next five

years.

The U.S. Department of Education’s National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitative Research initially supported the program with a $4.7 million grant in 2008.

The center tests new products developed by other NIDRR-supported researchers and looks for ways to get them manufactured.
