LOCKPORT – A Hartland woman who was repeatedly called a “manipulator” by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. was sentenced to a stint in the state prison system’s secure drug treatment facility Friday for her role in a house burglary.

If she fails in the 90-day treatment regimen or on subsequent parole, Kimberly A. Leonard, 42, of Orangeport Road, will serve 16 months to four years in a regular cell.

Leonard pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree burglary for the Feb. 19, 2013, break-in on Ridge Road in Hartland. On Feb. 10, co-defendant James W. Kohl, 33, of Orangeport Road, was sentenced to seven years in prison for that and two other burglaries.
