NIAGARA FALLS – April 25 is the deadline for applications for the Niagara County Youth Bureau’s Summer Youth Employment Program.
Youth Bureau Director Meghan Lutz said the program is funded through Temporary Assistance to Needy Families and is meant for youths ages 16 to 19 whose families meet the income guidelines. It offers subsidized placements in private-sector or government jobs.
Applications may be mailed or returned in person to the Niagara County Youth Bureau, Human Resources Building, 301 10th St., Niagara Falls, NY 14303.
They must include copies of the teenager’s Social Security card, photo identification and birth certificate, a recent report card, and original working papers for 16- and 17-year-olds. Males over 18 must show proof that they have registered for the military draft, and those still in school must have a school official fill in part of the form. A parent must sign for those under 18.
