LOCKPORT – Joan G. Aul, an executive of M&T Bank, is expected to be appointed by the County Legislature Tuesday to a seat on the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency.

Legislature Chairman William L. Ross, C-Wheatfield, said Aul was chosen to take the seat vacated by Deanna A. Brennen, president of the Niagara USA Chamber, who resigned from the IDA board Friday.

“You hate to lose one with the experience Deanna has, but Joan Aul is a good choice,” Ross said.

Aul, a Town of Lockport resident, has been with M&T since 1998, and has served as the bank’s credit accounting manager since 2009. In a banking career that dates back to 1983, she also has worked for Marine Midland Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Citibank.
