A 21-year-old Alden woman and a 23-year-old Alden man were arrested for drug offenses after state troopers stopped the car the woman was driving when she failed to signal she was turning onto Scajaquada Expressway at Niagara Street about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Betty Mullins was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance and having prescription medication outside its prescribed bottle. Her passenger, Seth Borland, was initially charged with not wearing a seatbelt but after a check was arrested for possession of hypodermic needles.
