Traffic will be reduced to one lane, beginning Monday, while maintenance work is done on the Route 93 bridge that crosses Tonawanda Creek.

Temporary traffic signals will be used to alternate the use of one lane during the work, which is expected to take about a week, according to a spokeswoman for the state Department of Transportation.

Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, the spokeswoman noted.
