A 35-year-old Akron man was arrested Saturday morning and accused of driving while intoxicated after he drove his pickup into another vehicle, pushing it into a tree on Cedar Street in Akron, Erie County sheriff’s deputies said.
Harold C. Schilling, who also was charged with traffic violations, registered a blood-alcohol level of .15 percent, sheriff’s deputies reported.
Schilling left the scene of the accident on foot at 1 a.m., but was located a short time later on Hake Road, sheriff’s deputies said. There were no injuries.
He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Newstead Court.
