Patrick J. Keem
Candidate for Orchard Park town supervisor
Lines on Ballot: Republican, Conservative, Independence
Number of years living in town: Nine
Occupation/Employer: Retired dentist
Top campaign platform agendas:
Engaged leadership, efficient management, cooperation between our town and village governments, working to provide our seniors with the quality senior center that they deserve, holding the line on taxes, eliminating unnecessary spending, promoting responsible economic growth, treating all taxpayers with the respect they deserve, maintaining quality services.
Biggest issues facing the town:
As I campaign door-to-door, the single biggest issue people want to talk about is Orchard Park’s high property taxes. Property taxes have gone up every year since my opponent took office, and her proposed budget calls for yet another increase this year. Orchard Park simply must reduce spending if we are to stop these annual tax increases. I will work with department heads and review every department’s budget, to look for new ideas that will maintain the high quality of town services, while delivering them more efficiently and effectively. I will also explore ways to increase our tax base by bringing more small businesses into town. Working with business leaders from our community and Western New York, I will leave no stone unturned in my efforts. Any savings will be used to minimize tax rates.
