Michael R. Vishion
Candidate for Town of Tonawanda board Lines on ballot: Republican
Number of years living in town: Life-long resident other than 10 years spent in San Diego, Calif. while serving and working for the U.S. Navy.
Occupation/employer: President, VCMS Inc – Provides management, contract, acquisition and financial consulting support services to the Department of Defense. In business since 2007.
Top campaign platform agendas:
Serving with honesty and integrity to ensure fairness to all residents and employees of the Town. Implement cost saving measures by utilizing my experience in managing 100M+ contracts and holding vendors accountable to assure the most effective and efficient expenditure of tax dollars possible. Create a transparent government that serves not rules residents and tax payers. Create a small business council of local business owners to solicit ideas on how we can make the Town more business friendly and attract new businesses and jobs to the Town.
Biggest issues facing the town:
Public Safety and Quality of Life are the two most common concerns brought to me by concerned residents. “This just isn’t the Town I remember” is the most common quote I receive. This Town is changing rapidly and our current board would rather focus on creating new patronage positions and purchasing unnecessary equipment instead of allocating the appropriate resources to combat the problems residents are most concerned with.
