A 19-year-old man identified through video surveillance was arrested for allegedly robbing a bank on East Delavan Avenue Thursday morning.
At about 10 a.m., police responded to a call of a robbery at Bank of America, 1171 E. Delavan Ave. After receiving a description of the suspect, officers saw someone resembling him running southbound on Texas Street and detained him in front of 117 Texas.
Raekwon Davis of 42 Zelmer Avenue was charged with first-degree robbery, a felony. He matched the video surveillance, according to Northwest District police.
Police said the note Davis allegedly used in the crime asked for $6,000 and stated he had a bomb and threatened to kill bank employees and their family members.
