OLEAN – the 12th annual Rally in the Valley, which draws thousands of mortorcyclists from across the region, has been expanded to six days – from Aug. 19-24.
Events follow: Aug. 19, two-hour kickoff, Cutco/KaBar parking lot, music, food, raffle prizes and commemorative Cutco Rally Knife; Aug. 20, 6 to 10 p.m., Wild Hog Wednesday, War Veterans Park, featuring food and the music of Steel Reign; Aug. 21, 7 to 10 p.m., Community Bank’s Banking on a Good Time Street Dance, on Laurens Street from North Union to North First streets; Aug. 22, Olean Area Federal Credit Union’s Kickstart to Rally and Tough Enough to Wear Pink, featuring a motorcycle parade from the parking lot of Olean Middle School on Wayne Street to Bradner Stadium at 5:30 p.m. Also featured are a bike parade and live music; Aug. 23, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., festival at Bradner Stadiums, featuring bike contests, bands, competitions, vendors and food; and Aug. 24, live music, the Dice Run at 11 a.m. and a raffle for a 2014 Harley Davidson Brilliant Silver Pearl Street Glide FLHX.
Meanwhile, the Greater Olean Chamber of Commerce is seeking vendors for the weekend (Aug. 22-24) festivities center at Bradner Stadium. Previous rallies have featured vendors selling items from jewelry and motorcycle accessories to sunglasses and truck/trailers to haul motorcycles.
Proceeds benefit a variety of community charities.
