A man who assaulted a woman at the Shadow Lounge on Hertel Avenue and later threatened her with a handgun and stole a car was arrested Wednesday evening, Buffalo police said.

Daniel Flitt, who has addresses in Buffalo and Tonawanda, is accused of punching a woman in the face, throwing her to the ground and hitting her with a chair on the patio of Shadow Lounge, authorities said. After Flitt left, the woman followed him with another person in the other person’s car, according to officials.

A confrontation between the two parties ensued at Wellington Road and Tacoma Avenue, police said, and Flitt threatened the two others with a black handgun and stole the car. Flitt was later arrested in Tonawanda at his University Avenue address, officials said.
