FORESTVILLE – The School Board accepted the resignation of Nancy Stock at Thursday’s regular meeting in the school library.
Stock has served as a board member since 2004. She also serves on the Board of Cooperative Educational Services Board and will retain her seat there. Stock is moving outside the Forestville District but still within the BOCES area.
In another matter, board members heard a presentation from David O’Rourke, BOCES superintendent, who asked for comments about what type of services the district needs from BOCES. He said he is visiting all 27 districts in the BOCES service area. O’Rourke said there are about 40,000 students in the combined districts.
BOCES services range from technical training for students to administrative services for school districts.
Also Thursday, two half-time teaching positions were created. Lisa Emke will teach math, and Cherilyn Eckley will teach English, both in the high school.
