LOCKPORT – Saturday’s edition of the Lockport Community Market will feature live music in the Canal Street gazebo, in addition to the vendors who will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on that street.
Tom Masters will play folk-rock and country music from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and from noon to 1 p.m., Creative Spirit will play rock. From 1:30 to 3, Goodrich & Prohn will offer country and blues sounds.
Also Saturday, Lakeview Animal Sanctuary will have a petting zoo all day, and there will be “psychic crayon readings” by the Angels of Spiritual Guidance.
In the nearby Erie Canal Discovery Center at Church and Ontario streets, kids can play the free “Shiny New Penny” scavenger hunt.
The center’s August art exhibit is historic photography by David Stockton. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., historical postcard books and the release of the War of 1812 sites map are on tap.
A free Flight of Five tour also meets at the Discovery Center, where the Penney Library will have an open house from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
