DUNKIRK – The sixth annual Chadwick Bay Beach Bash is set to kick off Saturday morning in Wright Park in the Dunkirk Harbor area.
The first event begins at 10 a.m. with a Sand Castle Contest on the Wright Park beach. Castle-building teams may have up to 10 members for the free event. Sand Castle Contest judging will take place at 6:30 p.m., and winners will receive cash prizes.
Barbecue will be available beginning at 2 p.m.
Live music is set to run from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. US, a classic rock ’n’ roll/blues band, will perform from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The Bruce Springsteen tribute band “Jersey” will perform at about 6:30 p.m. until the evening events are concluded.
Parking will be available by the Cliffstar Skate Park; enter from Warsaw Street. Certain streets in the area will be blocked off, so look for directions.
This event is funded by local area businesses, including Cott Beverages, NRG, National Grid, Coors Light, DFT Communications, Dunkirk Chamber of Commerce and APG.
