NIAGARA FALLS – Twenty-six contestants from around the world will arrive here today to compete for the title in the 2013 Ms. MWI International Beauty Pageant at the Seneca Niagara Casino.

MWI (Magnificent Women Icons) is a pageant for women 35 and older.

The women, who will be judged on the basis of style, attractiveness, community service and an interview with judges, will be introduced in a Red Carpet event at 6 p.m. Sunday at the casino.

Semifinals will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The new Ms. MWI International will be crowned by the 2012 winner, Juanita Brown Ingram, a lawyer from Tennessee currently living in England, in a program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

This year’s contestants come from Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America. Five are from the U.S., including a New Yorker, Sheila McKinney, owner of an accounting firm in Manhattan.
