Niagara’s Choice Federal Credit Union promoted Sharon DiPasquale to branch manager at the credit union’s new Summit Mall location in the Town of Wheatfield. DiPasquale has worked in the credit union industry for 15 years, most recently in charge of operations at its Packard Road location. Also, the credit union promoted Cheryl Horton to assistant branch manager for the new Summit Mall branch and Sue Martin branch manager at the North Tonawanda Branch in the Meadowbrook Plaza. Horton has been with the credit union for 14 years. Martin has been a Niagara’s Choice employee for more than 13 years. Also, the credit union promoted Joan Schnell and Amanda Kozakiewicz to member service representatives. Both formerly served as tellers.

Genesee Community College named Patty Hume January’s Employee of the Month. Hume has worked at the college since January 2006 and is currently the executive secretary to the Office of Development and External Affairs.

Kaleida Health was ranked No. 76 in the top national integrated healthcare networks according to a report published in the Jan. 26, 2009 edition of Modern Healthcare’s 2009 IHN 100. The report grades health systems on operations, quality, scope of services and efficiency. The rating system reviewed elements of health systems including hospital utilization, financial stability, physician participation, services and access, outpatient utilization, contract capabilities, integration and integrated technology. The rankings are conducted by SDI Health, a national healthcare data and consulting firm in Yardley, PA.

Hillside Family of Agencies, a family and children services organization that provides child welfare, mental health, youth development, juvenile justice, special education, and developmental disabilities services across central and western New York, is extending its services to include youth beyond 22 years of age. The agency has recognized there is a gap of services and the adult (human services) system is not successfully set up to serve many youth from age 22 to 26. Also, youth have a difficult time transitioning from the youth system into adulthood. The change will be gradual and will primarily take place in community-based services.
