Lindquist will plan and direct the marketing of the company’s consumer online products and services in cooperation with the company’s cable and telecommunication customers. Previously Lindquist was vice president of national directory at Frontier Communications.

Independent Health, an Amherstbased health plan provider, named Ted Butler national sales director, ancillary business. Previously national sales director, pharmacy benefit dimensions, Butler has more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits. He attended Empire State College.

Merchants Insurance Group appointed Patty Krzeminski, a CPA, assistant vice president of finance at the corporate office in Buffalo. Krzeminski most recently served as vice president/business manager at a local television station. In addition, she has seven years of financial services industry experience in the audit department of a large accounting firm in Buffalo. A graduate of the University at Buffalo, she earned a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Merchants Insurance Group offers personal and commercial insurance.

Phillips Lytle partner Nathan A. Schachtman is one of only 313 lawyers selected for inclusion in The International Who’s Who of Product Liability Defense Lawyers 2009 edition. The International Who’s Who of Product Liability Defense Lawyers, first published in 1997, seeks to identify private practice lawyers with a proven track record in representing and advising manufacturers and sellers against claims for damages or injuries suffered because of defects in goods.

For the past five years, Casciano was the managing partner at Bridgepoint Partners, a boutique consulting firm headquartered in Buffalo. He also held several executive positions in sales and marketing, information technology and distribution at Tops Markets for 10 years. He obtained an master’s degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University.

IPLogic Inc., a communications technology solution provider, named Martin Hirner SOC field engineer and Valerie Shandraw administrative assistant at its Buffalo office. Hirner previously was with Matrix Communications, where he gained more than 10 years experience in system design, implementation, technical training, IT maintenance and support of business telecommunications and related systems. Shandraw has worked in the administrative/accounting field for more than 15 years.
