Hires/Promotions/ Honors

The Car Coach, Lauren Fix of Lancaster was honored by Car Care Council Women’s Board with the Aftermarket Woman of the Year award at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo in Las Vegas. Additionally, her book,“Lauren Fix’s The Essential Guide To Loving Your Car: Everything You Need to Know to Take Charge of Your Car and Get On With Your Life” was selected as a winner in the Business-to-Consumer category at the the 2008 Automotive Communication Awards. Also, Fox received a Finalist Certificate for Women in Business from the Stevie Awards competition, which honors women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide. Fix is the host and automotive expert for Talk 2 DIY Automotive, a show on the Do-It-Yourself Network, and in addition, contributes to automotive and women’s magazines and has authored three books.

The law firm Phillips Lytle has 34 attorneys in the Buffalo office who are named in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, and a total of 43 firm-wide. Selection to this guide to the legal profession is based on a peer review survey by top national attorneys. Electronic Recycling Technologies has begun a new program to accept all computer and electronic equipment from commercial accounts at no charge for recycling, including monitors, TV’s, printers, copiers, keyboards and all other peripheral equipment. ERT will also continue to pay for computers, lap-tops and mainframe equipment. Also included at no charge is pick up and onsite packing services throughout Western NY and Northwestern until the end of 2008.
