Scofidio, who holds bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the University at Buffalo, served as chief administrative officer of Summit Educational Resources in Getzville for 10 years. Prior to that, she served as chief fiscal officer for the Veterans Administration’s Western New York Healthcare System.

The Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce elected Joe Wales president. Wales is vice president of W. G. Arthur Co. Reid Petroleum Corp. of Lockport named Michael McCarthy vice president of operations. McCarthy, with the company since 1987, has served as marketing services sales manager since 2001. The Reid Group, parent of Reid Petroleum, is a full-service independent motor fuel marketer that supplies filling stations with gasoline.

McGuire Development Co., a Buffalo development and brokerage firm, appointed Christopher J. Jerzewski director of development. Jerzewski, who has 17 years of industry experience, previously worked for HSBC Bak USA. He is a graduate of Potsdam State College and holds an MBA from Northwestern University.

Raymond E. Kelley Inc., a Buffalo contractor specializing in commercial masonry restoration, recently appointed Steven Sandroni vice president. He has been in the corporate sales department since 1994. Also, the company appointed Lydia Pikul controller. She is a graduate of Houghton College and has been with the company since 1995.

••• Five Star Bank appointed Scott Bader vice president and technology services manager, working out of the bank’s corporate headquarters in Warsaw. Bader previously worked for 10 years for Chico’s FAS in Florida. He is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University.

United Healthcare, a Pittsburghbased health benefits service provider, appointed Michael P. Spagnola director of Upstate Network Management. Spagnola, with 20 years of health care benefits experience, most recently was with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Phillips Lytle partner Kenneth A. Manning was appointed by Sheldon Silver, speaker of the New York State Assembly, to Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s board of directors for a three-year term.
