Praxair, Cummins lead decliners in Buffalo stocks
NEW YORK — Buffalo stocks declined the most this week since January, led by Praxair Inc. and Cummins Inc.
The Bloomberg Buffalo Index slipped 17.62, or 7.3 percent, to 223.16. Forty-five stocks fell while four rose. The index has fallen 15 percent this year.
Praxair, the largest industrial gas producer in the Americas, dropped $13.50, or 15 percent, to $74.15 this week.
Cummins, the maker of more than a third of North America’s heavy-duty trucks, fell $12.65, or 22 percent, to $46.03.
The Bullfinch Fund’s Unrestricted Series fund fell 22 cents to $12.85. Its Greater Western New York Series fund declined 56 cents to $13.77.
Computer Task Grou, a Buffalobased consultant, led gainers by climbing 52 cents, or 8.7 percent, to $6.49 this week.
