Superior Staff Resources president and CEO Lynne Marie Finn was named as national chair for the “Economic Blueprint—The Women Business Owners Platform for Growth” by the Women Impacting Public Policy. The Economic Blueprint outlines the public policies necessary to help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses in the 21st century. Superior Staff Resources is a national staffing company headquartered in Williamsville.

RobsonWoese Inc., an Amherst consulting engineering firm, named Michael B. Turri project manager. Turri has 30 years of engineering and management experience. He holds an MBA from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College and is a registered professional engineer in New York State.

ATSI Inc., an Amherst-headquartered consulting engineering firm, promoted Peter D. Sortisio to director of engineering. Sortisio is responsible for engineering activities at the company’s Amherst, Chicago and Pittsburgh offices. He joined the company in 1984 as an associate engineer in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Sortisio holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Brisbane Consulting Group, a Buffalo business valuation and management consulting firm, appointed Paula Cawley a director. Cawley, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, was formerly with First Niagara Bank.

Kathabar Dehumidification Systems, a Buffalo provider of engineered energy-efficient solutions for humidity control, recently introduced the Economic Value Comparison (EVC) program to assist owners and engineers in the selection of dehumidification systems. The evaluation compares liquid and dry desiccant dehumidification systems with conventional refrigeration using first cost, installation cost, and operating costs.
