 Johnson Robitaille Giles

Roswell Park Cancer Institute named Dr. Candace S. Johnson deputy director. Dr. Johnson will continue to serve as chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. She has been a senior faculty member in the department and senior vice president, Translational Research since 2002, and was endowed as the Robert, Lew and Ann Wallace chair in Translational Research at the Institute in 2005. Dr. Johnson earned her doctoral degree in immunology from Ohio State University, Columbus, and completed research and postdoctoral fellowships in immunology/cell biology at the Michigan Cancer Foundation, Detroit.

The Erie/Niagara Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers re-elected William E. Schutt president. Schutt is president of Wm. Schutt and Associates, Engineering and Land Surveying, 37 Central Ave., Lancaster. Other officers: First vice president, William F. Klepser; second vice president, Edward M. Murphy; treasurer, Peter T. von Scheidt; secretary, James D. Schneider and membership secretary, Douglas J. Goodnick.

Citizens Bank promoted Thomas Giles of its Corporate Banking Group to senior vice president at the bank’s Buffalo office. Giles, who has more than 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, joined the bank in 2005 from Mc-Donald Financial Group, where he was a vice president and financial adviser.

Brock, Schechter and Polakoff, a Buffalo certified public accounting firm, promoted Hope Jezioro and Kristin Crosby to senior accountant. Jezioro is a graduate of Canisius College. Crosby is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. Also, the agency named Jeremy Bilson staff accountant. Bilson is a recent UB graduate.

Niagara Frontier Subcontractor’s Association named Kevin Biddle, CEO of Mader Construction in Elma, president. He is currently the president elect of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has previously served on the board for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of WNY, the Kidney Foundation of WNY and the Lupus Foundation of WNY. Mader Construction is a commercial wall and ceiling subcontractor.

The DENT Neurologic Institute, a neurology group practice with offices in Amherst and Orchard Park, appointed Dr. Joseph V. Fritz executive director. Also, Dr. Fritz will serve as the technical director of its affiliated non-profit research organization, the DENT Neuroscience Research Center. Previously director for clinical research at Philips Healthcare and Toshiba Medical Systems, Dr. Fritz has more than 20 years of experience in health care management and clinical research.

Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor, named Tim Dick director, global vendor management at the company’s Amherst office. Dick has worked at the company since 1995, previously serving as senior vendor business manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia State College and a master’s from the University at Buffalo.

Robitaille Real Estate named Sarah Robitaille vice president of its board of directors. Robitaille has been with the corporation since its inception in 1992 and has been part of the sales force as well as previously serving as director of relocation. The agency currently has a staff of more than 30.
