It was a good to be the boss in 2007. The median compensation for top executives at the Buffalo Niagara region’s publicly traded companies rose almost three times faster than the average worker’s pay, according to a Buffalo News analysis.

Formerly director of sales and marketing, Gertner joined the company in 1992 and held positions as sales representative, sales manager, and director of sales. Great Lakes Orthodontics, an employee-owned company located at 200 Cooper Ave., Tonawanda, provides products, laboratory services, and appliance fabrication training to members of the orthodontic, prosthodontic, and general dental professions worldwide.
Delphi Corp.’s executive chairman says the company’s Town of Lockport manufacturing plant needs to keep stressing efficiency in order to maintain its viability.
Mod-Pac Corp. shareholders are getting restless. Really restless. The Buffalo specialty printing company last week reported its ninth straight quarterly loss as it struggles to replace the sales it lost three years ago when its biggest customer, online printed products marketer VistaPrint Ltd., stopped using Mod-Pac for its printing.
