Crowley Webb and Associates, a marketing communications agency located in Buffalo, promoted Matt Low to vice president, associate creative director. Low joined the agency as an intern while finishing his degree in communication studies at Canisius College. He was then hired as copywriter in 2000, promoted to senior copywriter in 2003, and became copy supervisor in 2005.

Omnicare Inc, a Covington-Ky.-based provider of pharmaceutical care for the elderly, named Beth A. Kinerk senior vice president, sales and customer development. Kinerk, a Buffalo resident, joined the company in 2005 with its acquisition of NeighborCare and most recently served as vice president, customer development, a position she has held since August 2006. She has more than 18 years of pharmacy and health care/sales management experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and science from Michigan State University.

The Downtown Jamestown Development Corp. named Katherine Rice Main Street manager. A marketing graduate of the University of Dayton, Rice was a member of the recently developed Chautauqua Advancement Project. During the duration of the project, she assisted development at the Lucy Desi Center, the Downtown Jamestown Development Corp. and worked to produce the South County Career Fair. The project was organized by Chautauqua Works, the Jamestown Renaissance Corp. and funded by the Gebbie Foundation to bring young professionals to Jamestown and keep them in the city.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Tina L. Pembleton manager of the hospital’s new outpatient dialysis clinic. The 17-station clinic is scheduled to open in late summer pending receipt of final approvals from the state Department of Health. Pembleton is a certified nephrology nurse and a graduate of Niagara County Community College. She was formerly peritoneal dialysis coordinator, nursing director and assistant clinical manager at the Niagara Renal Center and has also worked as a staff nurse at the Western New York Artificial Kidney Center. Also, the hospital announced that facilities management director and safety officer Steve Lewis has assumed additional responsibilities for oversight of the medical center’s in-house security department.

Medaille College named Paula Valente vice president for college relations. Most recently, Valente served as associate vice president for development at Canisius College. Prior to that, Valente held leadership positions as the executive director of the YWCA of Greater Portland in Maine, president of the Institute for a Strong Maine Economy, president and CEO of the Maine Health Care Association, and city manager of Auburn, Maine. She received a bachelor’s degree from Canisius College and earned a master’s of public administration degree from George Washington University.

SoPark Corp., an electronics contract manufacturer of printed circuit boards, electro mechanical assemblies, cables and wiring harnesses in Lackawanna, named Karen Genco human resources manager. Genco has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, operations management, and safety.

Eye Care&Vision Associates, a comprehensive eye care medical practice, appointed Dr. William J. Waldron to its Orchard Park staff. Dr. Waldron, who has been a practicing optometrist for 15 years, previously worked in an ophthalmology practice in Western New York before opening his own practice, Clarence Eye Care. He received his associate’s degree in ophthalmic dispensing from Erie Community College and completed his bachelor’s program at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

Amherst-based certified public accounting firm of Gaines Kriner Elliott named Cheryl A. Prout a partner. Prout, a CPA, has been an associate with the firm for the past 11 years and is a graduate of Canisius College.

Chiampou Travis Besaw&Kershner, an Amherst accounting firm, promoted Grace Huff to senior manager. Huff, a CPA, joined the firm in 2007.
