After months of tense negotiations, the Teamsters Local 118 has ratified its contract with Wegmans.
The Teamsters re-voted a previously rejected contract after both sides met with a federal mediator this week. The contract had been tentatively approved by officers, rejected in a vote, then approved in another vote Thursday.
At issue was a move out of a Teamsters-controlled pension fund and into a Wegmans-funded one. The vote approves the move into the Wegmans-funded pension plan.
The contract covers more than 900 Rochester-based mechanics, truckers and warehouse workers.
