United Memorial Medical Center, which operates a 131-bed hospital in Batavia, announced a management restructuring that will create a position of president to oversee day-to-day opertions.

Mark C. Schoell will remain CEO and lead hospital strategy amid changes in the healthcare industry.

Daniel P. Ireland will be named president in late November. He is now chief operating officer and VP of operations.

Schoell has served as the president and CEO of United Memorial since September 2004. Ireland has been with the hospital for more than 20 years, holding a variety of jobs.
