Time Warner Cable will replace its Lite Internet tier with something called Everyday Low Price Internet.
Lite Internet had been available at a rate of $14.99 to $19.99 for limited promotional periods and had a retail rate of $34.99.
It offered download and upload speeds of up to 1 megabit per second. The new service will have a faster download speed of 2 megabits per second.
“As we introduce advanced, ultrafast Internet for our intense Internet users, we also want to provide the best service possible for our casual Internet users, so we’re making it faster and making it an even better value,” said Scott Pryzwansky, a Time Warner spokesman.
