Certain peaches, plums and nectarines sold at BJs, Sam’s Club Trader Joe’s and Wegmans in Western New York are being recalled.
California-based Wawona Packing Co. is recalling the fruits, in both organic and conventional form, as a precautionary measure after listeria monocytogenes were found in its packing facility. No illnesses have been reported.
The company is recalling whole white and yellow peaches, white and yellow nectarines, plums and pluots packed on dates ranging from June 1 to July 12.

Affected customers can seek refunds from the stores at which the items were purchased.
Wegmans is also recalling dessert items made with the affected products, including fruit-topped cakes and pies as well as tarts and pastries made with the fresh fruit. Those items were sold from June 1 through July 20.
