The Wound Center of Niagara appointed Dr. Michael J. Mitchell medical director and Aaron Wilson program director. Mitchell, a general, vascular and laparoscopic surgeon, is a graduate of Canisius College and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his surgical training at UB and is a clinical associate professor at the UB School of Medicine. Wilson is a Brockport State College graduate and spent five years working in orthopedics and wound care at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown before returning to school to complete a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Binghamton University
Community Charter School named Michael Tenebruso assistant principal. Tenebruso was an education consultant at Apex Learning in Seattle after serving as principal of Canal View Elementary in Spencerport, elementary principal of Sheldon Elementary in Attica, and assistant principal of Attica Central School District. He received his master’s in education from Brockport State College.
Allstate Insurance agent Kimberly Heary in East Aurora received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community. With this award came a $1,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation for the Springville Center for the Arts, for which Heary volunteers.

Dunkin’ Donuts has started the “Cups for Roswell” program and the donation of up to 372,000 cups of coffee to Roswell Park Cancer Institute in an effort to generate $175,000 for the cancer center this holiday season. The first 1,000 Western New York residents to make a $175 donation to RPCI will receive a 12 pack of coupon books for “coffee for a year” as a thank you from Dunkin’ Donuts and its Buffalo-area franchisees.
