The Town of Niagara Business and Professional Association presented David Karwick of Key Investment Services the Citizen of the Year Award, honoring him for his dedication to volunteer service. Karwick, a KeyBank employee since 1989 and a class of 2000 graduate of Leadership Niagara, volunteers with the Niagara-Wheatfield and Lewiston Kiwanis, the Town of Niagara Business and Professional Association Parade Committee, the Niagara County Community College Foundation, Leadership Niagara, Niagara Falls Habitat for Humanity and the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation.

Batavia-based commercial construction firm Manning Squires Hennig was awarded a concrete foundation project for Yahoo Inc. in Lockport and will also continue its partnership with the Buffalo Bills, which awarded MSH two new construction initiatives totaling $3.3 million at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Mortenson Construction, a general contractor, and MSH will place the foundations for the Yahoo data center as part of the company’s $170 million investment expansion plan. The expected completion date is May 2014. Also, MSH was awarded two projects at the stadium with Buffalo-based construction manager LPCiminelli.
