Clarence Community and Schools Federal Credit Union chief executive officer/manager Marsha Brauer was named Outstanding Professional of the Year by the Credit Union Association of New York at its 2013 convention. The Clarence credit union also was awarded first place in all three of the following categories: Desjardins Financial Literacy (efforts in Clarence-area schools), Dora Maxwell Community Service (Gifts for Hurricane Sandy victims) and Louise Herring Philosophy in Action (Credit Card Rewards Program). The three honorees will advance to the national level, the Credit Union National Association.

Contributing

The Citizens Bank Foundation donated $20,000 to the Food Bank of WNY to help children throughout Western New York gain access to free nutritional meals this summer. The grant is part of an overall investment of $60,000 from the Citizens Bank Foundation to food banks across New York State this summer to combat childhood hunger, part of its “Citizens Helping Citizens Fight Hunger” initiative.
