Elmwood Franklin School appointed Andrew Deyell its head of school. Deyell spent nearly 20 years as an educator and administrator in independent schools in the Washington, D.C., area. He was the assistant head of school at The Woods Academy, a pre-K to eighth-grade independent school in Bethesda, Md. Deyell holds master’s degrees from Columbia University and George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Le- Moyne College.
