Bryant & Stratton College appointed Cindy H. Susienka president and chief executive officer. She previously held a variety of top leadership roles at Golden Living, a Texas-based health care organization, including president of Aegis and AseraCare, president and chief executive officer of Golden Innovations, and, most recently, chief operating officer of the larger parent organization, Golden Living. Susienka earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marquette University.
West Herr Automotive Group named Donnie DiPalma a sales and leasing consultant at its Toyota Scion location in Clarence. DiPalma has more than 14 years of automotive experience.
Gastroenterology Associates named Mary J. Ciechoski and Susan M. Kreppel nurse practitioners. Ciechoski, a graduate of Hartwick College and the University at Buffalo, has more than 15 years of diversified experience. Kreppel, also a UB graduate, has more than 17 years of nursing experience in the field of gastroenterology. Also, the practice named Caterina Phichith and Andrea Murdoch Phipps physician assistants. Both are recent graduates of Daemen College. All four associates will manage patient care at the Maple Road office in Amherst and Elaine Drive office in Niagara Falls.
Susha Shoes, a shoe boutique, recently celebrated its grand opening at 424 Center St., Village of Lewiston. The boutique, owned by Sue Leo and husband Anthony, features shoes by Susha and women’s accessories.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Buffalo partnered with Amherst-based Solar Liberty on three solar installations that totaled 116.46 kilowatts. The first 25.38-kilowatt array was part of the Brighter New York Program and was donated by Solar Liberty in 2011. The system size for the second and third installations totaled 91.08 kilowatts and is leased through Solar Liberty. After the lease payments, the projected annual savings among the three installations will be about $8,700.
The Allstate Foundation awarded a $75,000 grant to support initiatives for minority and women entrepreneurs at the University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership while also funding a new pilot program. The Allstate Foundation has helped fund the Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs program, a joint venture by the CEL and the UB Center for Urban Studies since 2005. This year’s grant includes a $16,000 increase to pilot a new program based on the MWEE (Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs) principles.
