Citigroup in Getzville, named Aaron C. Miner senior vice president. Miner has been with the bank for more than six years and most recently was a vice president. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Law and Syracuse University.

Adoption STAR named Lori Craig executive administrator. Craig joined the agency in 2006 as its office manager. Also, the agency promoted Zack Fried to supervisor of administrative and intake department, and named Senovia Cuevas administrative assistant and intake worker. Fried joined the agency in 2009, and Cuevas joined in 2012.

M&T Bank promoted Brian M. Goldwater and Melissa J. Heavern to administrative vice president. Goldwater has been with the bank for 12 years, having most recently served as vice president. He is currently senior audit manager. Goldwater graduated from the University at Buffalo. Heavern, currently senior commercial operations manager, most recently was a vice president. She has been with the bank for 13 years and graduated from Geneseo State College.

Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Medical Acoustics, Baxter and Phillips Lytle have joined with MedTech Association, a bioscience and medical technology trade association, to grow the biomed industry in New York. Two projects by University at Buffalo architects received honors from the Architizer A+ Awards program. Project 2XmT, a sculptural wall that UB professors and students erected in Buffalo’s Silo City, won the Popular Choice Award and Jury Award in the competition’s Architecture+Fabrication category, as well as the Jury Award in Architecture+Materials. Online voting determined Popular Choice winners, while judges including architects and cultural leaders selected Jury Award recipients. In addition, Jin Young Song, assistant professor of architecture, won the Architizer A+ Jury Award in the Products+Living category for his project Qube, a dining set that folds up into a compact cube. Song designed the product through his architectural practice, Dioinno Architecture.

Explore & More Children’s Museum in East Aurora will receive a donation from First Niagara for the first run scored by the Buffalo Bisons in every home game of the 2014 season. A minimum of $5,000 will be awarded at the end of the season.
