Goodwill Industries of Western New York unveiled a new look at its West Seneca store Tuesday in the Seneca-Ridge Plaza.
The store got a major remodel designed to maximize sales, bolster its branding and better showcase its merchandise. Marketing experts at advertising firm Eric Mower + Associates took the lead on the redesign via pro-bono consulting.
“We knew we wanted to create a space that better showcased our unique merchandise in a more engaging and modern way,” said Lisa Churakos, director of retail and donated goods at Goodwill.
The Seneca Street store features a new layout as well as updated signage and displays. A new “DIY station” offers tips on how to refurbish old clothing and furniture. Signage near the cash registers communicates Goodwill’s efforts in the community.
Goodwill plans to apply some of the store’s marketing features to its 10 other local stores.
