The Elma-based Made in America store is expanding yet again, this time with a location in Eastern Hills Mall, Clarence.

The mall store expects to have a soft opening in early to mid-October, followed by a grand opening in late October or early November. It will be located between Sears and Bon-Ton.

Mark Andol, the owner of Made in America, said shopping malls from around the United States had approached him about opening a store, but he said the “strongest proposal, by far,” came from Eastern Hills Mall.

Andol opened the Made in America store on Maple Road in Elma in 2010 with a unique format: Everything sold there is billed as 100 percent American-made, down to a product’s packaging. The business attracts tour buses from around the country, as well as media outlets from around the world intrigued by the theme. The store also sells products through an e-commerce website.

In April, Made in America expanded, adding an all-U.S. products souvenir shop in the One Niagara building, near the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls.

Eastern Hills Mall is also where a documentary called “American Made Movie,” which includes Andol, will be screened at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Dipson Theatres.

The film explores the impact of the loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs and focuses on entrepreneurs and companies that have resisted outsourcing to other countries. Along with Made in America, Andol owns General Welding and Fabricating.
