Empire Genomics, an 8-year-old Buffalo company that uses genetic tools to develop more precise and non-invasive tests for cancer, has hired QuaDPharma, a contract drug testing and manufacturing company in Newstead, to manufacture products for the molecular diagnostics market.

The companies formed the strategic partnership to meet the increasing demand from Empire Genomics’ customers for manufacturing in the research, clinical and pharma industries that meets stringent quality-control standards from the beginning of the process, according to a news release from the companies.

The companies have produced the first batch of products manufactured to these standards, in what they are billing as the first phase in their partnership.
