Home Furniture Gallery, started by three family members formerly involved in the now defunct Rosa’s Home Stores chain, is going out of business.

The chain recently announced it would close its Town of Tonawanda store at 2880 Sheridan Drive but keep its second store at 3770 Union Road in Cheektowaga open. Last night, the store announced it would close the Cheektowaga store as well.

It will sell off both stores’ inventory before closing.

The company said it lost the leases at both locations, though records show both locations are owned by Paul F. Rosa, the owners’ father.

Paul F. Rosa founded Rosa’s Home Stores in 1981 and sold his company in 2007. It’s new owners declared bankruptcy in late 2010. His sons David, Paul M. and Anthony, founded Home Furniture Gallery in 2011.
