Columbus McKinnon Corporation, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, named Jeff Armfield executive director, global product strategy and development. Armfield previously served as the global director – engineering and product management for AxleTech International. He earned a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, a master’s degree from Purdue University, and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Buffalo Filter, a medical device manufacturer and supplier of surgical smoke evacuation equipment, promoted Nicole Kane to chief financial officer. Kane, who has been with the company for 10 years, was vice president of finance. She is a SUNY Buffalo State graduate and obtained her MBA from Medaille College.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center welcomed Dr. Rosalind Nolan Sulaiman to its primary care team. A graduate of Cornell University and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Sulaiman completed her internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.

Gross Shuman Brizdle & Gilfillan promoted Trevor M. Torcello to shareholder in the firm. Torcello joined the firm in 2007. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and earned his M.B.A. from the UB School of Management and his J.D. from the UB School of Law.

Explore and More Children’s Museum named Jamie Ruminski director of exhibits. Ruminski worked at Hadley Exhibits and Thinking Outside the Square. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology. Also, the museum named Nancy Montone director of development. Mantone, a St. Lawrence University graduate, previously spent 17 years in sales and sales management at IBM and also owned her own import business in East Aurora.

Westermeier Martin Dental Care appointed Dr. Matthew Whipple, and Dr. Judi Roberts associate dentists at the practice. Whipple received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and his bachelor’s degree from Penn State. Roberts received her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and her bachelor’s degree from Howard University.

Five Star Bank promoted Chris Saunders to assistant vice president. Saunders is also branch manager of the Cuba location. He holds an associates degree from Erie Community College and studied at St. John Fisher, Canisius and SUNY Buffalo State.

Trellis Marketing named Meaghan Moore an account executive. Moore was an account executive at Cumulus Broadcasting. She is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State and the Ohio Center for Broadcasting. Also, the agency promoted Natalie McGurn from account executive. McGurn, with the agency for approximately six months, previously was an executive assistant. She graduated from Syracuse University.

Paramax Corp. a provider of mergers and acquisitions services globally, named Nick Jones an associate in its Williamsville office. Jones earned a master’s degree from the University at Buffalo. He was a senior associate at Citi in Equity Research.

The Maid of the Mist selected marketing communications agency Eric Mower + Associates to create its recent campaign. The new campaign features the tagline “America’s Most Monumental Experience since 1846” and uses three of America’s most well-known landmarks, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore and the Lincoln Memorial, draped in the blue Maid of the Mist ponchos. The ad featuring the Lincoln Memorial has already started to run in the Northeast. EMA also redesigned the Maid of the Mist website. The Maid of the Mist runs boat tours annually from April to October from its Niagara Falls, N.Y., landing.
