Brunner International, which makes components for heavy-duty trucks and trailers, plans to add up to 35 jobs as part of a $10 million expansion in Orleans County, according to the Orleans County Economic Development Agency.
Brunner said it will add a 48,000-square-foot building to its Bates Road site in Medina and retain 363 jobs. The company says it needs to expand quickly in order to begin making and shipping products by early 2015 to meet its contractual obligations.
Brunner qualified for up to $750,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits from the state in returns for its investment and job-creation commitments. The Orleans County EDA said Brunner evaluated other, out-of-state sites before choosing Medina for the project.
