The Brothers of Mercy senior care facility on Tuesday announced a planned expansion of its Clarence campus that will add more than 100 apartments and additional amenities for residents by fall of this year.
Brothers of Mercy plans to break ground on a three-story building called Montabaur Heights on June 25 that will feature 111 one- and two-bedroom apartments on its 4530 Ransom Road facility.
A movie theater, chapel, grocery and gift shops, beauty salon, barber shop, fitness center, library and cafe will also be included in the expansion.
“Breaking ground on Montabaur Heights is an exciting first step toward creating the Senior Center of Excellence we have planned for Clarence,” Brothers of Mercy chief operating officer Peter Eimer said in a press release.
The expansion is intended to accommodate an increase a residential requests, said Nancy Gugino, a senior living consultant for Montabaur Heights.
Brothers of Mercy has already signed its first resident.
