The Bank of Akron named Anthony J. Delmonte Jr. senior vice president and chief credit officer to succeed Peter L. Randall who is retiring at the end of 2010. Delmote has 17 years of banking experience, having previously held positions at M&T Bank. He is a graduate of University at Buffalo with a degree in political science and an MBA from Canisius College.

AAA Western and Central New York named Julianne Hanes-Jordan senior marketing manager. Hanes-Jordan has 15 years of marketing experience, most recently as a marketing manager with Bausch& Lomb in Rochester. She holds a bachelor’s degree from S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

The Buffalo office of CB Richard Ellis, a commercial real estate brokerage firms, appointed Gregory M. Michalek chief operating officer. Michalek, who joined the firm in 2008, is also a senior vice president. He spent 21 years at M&TBank Corp., most recently as administrative vice president and group manager of commercial real estate financing. He is a Canisius College graduate.

National Wealth Management, 747 Hopkins Road in Williamsville, named Douglas Littlewood vice president and senior financial adviser. National Wealth Management offers investment products and services through Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. Littlewood, previously a vice president/financial adviser with Merrill Lynch, has more than 30 years experience assisting clients in developing and meeting long-term financial objectives.

North Forest Office Providers, a Williamsville-based commercial space developer, named Anthony DeSimone chief financial officer. Previously, DeSimone was vice president and chief accounting officer of NanoDynamics Inc., a start-up nanotech company.

HoganWillig appointed Thomas

R. Cassano executive counsel to the law firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law Department. Cassano, previously a partner with Offermann, Cassanno, Greco, Slisz and Adams, has limited his practice almost exclusively in the area of matrimonial and family law for more than 30 years. He received his J. D. from the University of Toledo.

Roswell Park Cancer Institute Dr. Russell E. Carlson recently received a three-year appointment as cancer liaison physician for the cancer program at the institute. Carlson is among a national network of more than 1,600 volunteer physicians who are responsible for providing leadership and direction to establish, maintain and support their facilities’ cancer program. Cancer liaison physicians are part of cancer programs accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Burden, Gulisano&Hickey, attorney Jonathan S. Hickey recently presented “Investigating a Catastrophic Loss—Emergency Response,” to an audience of motor carriers and counsel at the 2009 Arkansas Trucking Seminar in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Hickey is a trial attorney at his firm where he focuses on defending transportation, products liability and commercial claims.

The Erie County District Attorney’s Office appointed Christopher

P. Jurusik, Paul C. Parisi and James C. Schwegler assistant district attorneys. Jurusik, a graduate of the State University of New York, is assigned to the Buffalo City Court Bureau. He received his bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania. Jurusik was previously with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and was in private practice. Parisi, a graduate of the State University of New York, is Erie County’s juvenile justice prosecutor. He was previously employed by the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and interned with Bouvier Partnership. Schwegler, a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law, is assigned to the Buffalo City Court Bureau. He received a bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University and has interned with the Ottawa County Prosecutors Office in Ohio, Bowling Green City Prosecutor’s Office, and the Toledo Municipal Public Defender’s Office.

Medaille College named Jacqueline Matheny vice president, School of Adult and Graduate Education. With the college for nearly 28 years, Matheny previously was executive director for enrollment management. As vice president, she will focus on recruitment and enrollment efforts for adult business and graduate education programs at the college’s campuses in Amherst and Rochester.
