Roswell Park Cancer Institute appointed Dr. Thomas Schwaab staff physician and assistant professor of oncology in the departments of urology and immunology. Most recently at the Center for Urologic Care at Concord Hospital, Concord, N. H., Schwaab also served as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Immunologic Therapy Program, Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth Medical School and an adjunct assistant professor of surgery at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N. H. He earned his medical degree and a doctoral degree in immunology from the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany. Schwaab completed residency training in general surgery and in urology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Bloomberg L. P. announced that Paul Bascobert, a Tonawanda native, has been named president of Bloomberg BusinessWeek. Bascobert, 45, a Sweet Home High School graduate, joins BusinessWeek from Dow Jones&Company, a division of News Corp., where he served as chief marketing officer for the consumer media group. Bascobert is a graduate of Kettering University and has an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Bloomberg acquired BusinessWeek from McGraw- Hill Companies in December.
Gooding Co. national account manager Ed Tase recently completed the OSHA 10-hour Outreach Safety Training Program presented by Printing Industries Alliance, an Amherstbased affiliate of Printing Industries of America, a printing trade association. Gooding Co. is a Lockport-based specialty printer for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
Phillips Lytle’s Taylan Sen presented “Cybersleuthing and Electronic Discovery in the Year 2010” at the West-ern New York Paralegal Association’s new professional development program.

S. for the return on investment it provides MBA graduates.
