Tronconi Segarra and Associates, a certified public accounting and business consulting firm with offices in Williamsville, Niagara Falls and Batavia, promoted Lisa A. Mrkall, Sean D. Penner and Andrew T. Moon to supervising senior accountants. Mrkall, a member of the firm since 2006, obtained her undergraduate degree at the University at Buffalo and her master’s degree at Canisius College. Penner obtained both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at UB and has been with the firm since 2005. Moon, also a UB graduate, joined the firm in 2007. Also, the firm promoted David J. Lever, a Canisius College graduate; Danielle C. Delaney, a Hilbert College graduate; and Robert E. Koller, a UB graduate, to senior accountant. The three joined the firm in 2007. Travers Collins&Company, a Buffalo- based marketing communications firm, named Kate Croft administrative assistant. Croft is a recent graduate of Miami University of Ohio, where she received a bachelor’s degree in political science.

J. Oestreicher, a New York Life Insurance agent for seven years, was elected to the New York Life Insurance Agents Advisory Council, a group of 24 New York Life sales representatives elected by their peers to present agent viewpoints and issues to the home office, at a recent awards and recognition educational conference in San Antonio.

VSP Marketing Graphic Group of West Seneca recently unveiled a new rolling billboard marketing promotion for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo. The agency designed and wrapped the first in a fleet of 13 Ford Econoline 12-passenger vans utilized by the Boys and Girls Clubs. The vehicle wrap was donated by VSP. Companies and organizations will be able to purchase advertising on the vehicles to show support for the services that the Boys and Girls Clubs provide to the community.

Yogen Fruz, an international chain of frozen yogurt with probiotics, launched three Nu Mixes: Key Lime Pie, Pina Colada and Chocolate Almond. The new flavor combinations were unveiled in the Buffalo Yogen Fruz stores at Boulevard Mall and Eastern Hills Mall. Three additional Nu Mixes are set to launch each month over the next few months.

The PCA Group, a Buffalo information technology consulting firm, installed the Vertical Communications Wave IP 2500 communications platform to increase capacity and customer service in the Indoor Air Professionals Commercial, Residential and Naval/Yacht divisions call centers.

National Air Cargo and National Airlines presented more than 1,000 blankets to two orphanages in Afghanistan. The blankets were transported by a National Airlines DC-8 cargo plane to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
