NEW YORK (AP) Summer thunderstorms are delaying flights into the three major New York City area airports.

The Port Authority says storms moving through the area Wednesday are holding up some flights headed for Newark and Kennedy airports by about 90 minutes as of 3:40 p.m. Flights bound La Guardia are delayed just over an hour.

Flights taking off from Kennedy are delayed up to 30 minutes.

The Port Authority says flights in and out of Teterboro Airport are being held up 15 minutes due to non-weather issues.
