GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (AP) — Family members of two of the U.S. Navy SEALs depicted in the film "Lone Survivor" plan to attend a special screening of the movie at a suburban Albany mall.
The Record of Troy reports (http://bit.ly/19fOIPM ) that Cindy Dietz, Maureen Murphy and other family members will be at Thursday night's screening at Crossgates Mall in Guilderland.
Dietz is the mother of Danny Dietz and Murphy is the widow of Michael Murphy of Patchogue (PACH'-awg) on Long Island. The two men and a third Navy SEAL, Max Axelson, were killed during a mission behind enemy lines in Afghanistan in 2005. Murphy was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
The fourth member of the SEAL team, Marcus Luttrell, survived the mission and wrote the book on which the film is based. The movie opens nationally Friday.
